Media Buyer Coordinator

The Media Buying Coordinator (MBC) works with the Strategic Marketing Manager (SMM) and Director of Marketing & Communications (DMC) to coordinate and support media-buying activities. The MBC is comfortable learning new software, has good data management skills, and effective communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES­­

  • Create and send print, out-of-home, and digital orders to media vendors.

  • Collect and maintain record of all confirmation orders.

  • Create and review all client media invoices for accuracy.

  • Review all media vendor invoices for accuracy and verification.

  • Resolve print, out-of-home, and digital media vendor invoice discrepancies.

  • Liaison between DEP Marketing Dept. and vendors.

  • Maintain up to date media kits for all vendors to include specs and ad submission requirements/protocol.

  • Support SMM by compiling monthly metrics for end-of-the month Advisory Board reports.

  • Update and maintain internal traffic chart to ensure all ads are on the schedule and being trafficked by the deadline.

  • Compile research for media planning, as needed.

  • Update and maintain media contact lists.

  • Coordinate all upcoming traffic deadlines with the SMM and Branding & Communications Manager (BCM) on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, liberal arts, marketing, or business administration preferred.

  • Good numerical and data management skills.

  • Highly organized and efficient.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Analytical and comfortable interpreting data into meaningful research.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while being mindful of priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.

  • Daily sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer or terminal keyboard to enter data for aver 60 minutes at a time.

  • Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

  • This position is within an office environment, however, requires in and out of doors several times a day.

HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM

  • Frequent additional hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, flexible schedule required.

  • Occasional travel, both within the United States and internationally required.
